Tapetes de Aserrín

Every Sunday at midday you can witness one of the oldest crafts of the people of Huamantla, the making of traditional tapetes de aserrín ("sawdust carpets"). Enshrined in an atmosphere true to Old Mexico, amidst candles and the aroma of copal incense, the Hacienda's chapel is host to this ceremony. Inquire about the current schedule at the Reception desk..
