Welcome to Huamantla, Tlaxcala, the proud home city of the Hacienda Soltepec.
A place of history and tradition, delicious flavors and striking architecture, and founded more than two centuries ago, our hotel has become a must-see destination for national and international visitors to the state of Tlaxcala.
Our kitchen is the soul of Hacienda Soltepec; it's the greatest treasure we've inherited from "La Moré", who was the proprietress of our hotel until 2007.
We've created a variety of exquisite dishes from the typical elements of the Tlaxcalan kitchen, such as: cactus, gusanos de maguey (mescal worm), escamoles (insect caviar), huitlacoche (corn smut), wild mushrooms from la Malintzi (nearby mountain), pulque (alcoholic beverage made from mescal plant)...
For the past couple of years, we have been working with a couple of hot air balloon companies, the best in the state.
This wonderful activity allows you to fly through the skies of Tlaxcala and take in beautiful views of the country landscape...
Share this memorable experience with your dear friends, or as a romantic getaway with your loved one.
Get to know the various corners of our state on this tour.
We'll take you to see the two beautiful haciendas (country estates) of the region: Tenexac and Santa Barbara. Both are very old but each has it's own special ambience, one with a bullfighter's motif and the other with a mystic, country appeal...
